They are much less restrictive than other municipalities in South Florida that are actively trying to reduce the number of STRs.Let me know if you'd like to talk further on the topic! 

Up until November, actively licensed VRD (Vacation Rental Dwellings) could transfer one time to the new owner.

This doesn't necessarily mean just an investor, but somebody who active works in the space and puts in at least 700 hours of work into it per year. 

Also, my brokerage has a handful of investor clients that actively run MTRs and STRs in the area. 

They are actively managing their properties, do their own recordkeeping at least once per quarter if not more often and are ready to go with reports and back up very quickly at the end of the year. 

If you have no desire to actively pursue other investments where you make more than a 2.8% return, then by all means pay it off faster.TYFYS and best of luck!

I even try to unsell them on the business by sharing my financial losses, litigation,  market shifts, permit purgatory, shady contractors,  clouded title issues,  paranormal activity, squatters, mold, etc.

 just start generating leads and start talking to people and when you’re not doing that educate yourself also hire a mentor just basically get active..
