Another story for another day Strategically, we thought about fire risk in 3 ways1) Catastrophic scenario where the house actually burns down: it can take years to obtain permits and actually rebuild a home, plus demand in the area could suffer long-term if the entire area burned, so we agreed we should insure at an amount we could walk away and feel good about it.

It really depends on the property value and coverage options; if you want to rebuild the property if it were to burn down, it’ll cost more than just getting back what you put into it.At this point, all I do is insurance for RE investors.

This year we included some goals/plans for our primary residence (turn basement into apartment, rebuild decks, design and build front porch), some personal goals (establish and maintain a healthy eating plan, go to the gym at least twice per week, read and discuss 6 books, one book is to be chosen by our partner), and business goals (find an accountant, analyze present loans and refinance if it makes sense, add 20 doors to our portfolio).
