The tourist destinations are planning lots of new development.  

The company I'm with works in the STR management business and we operate in Maine as well as many other destination and urban markets.

I try to balance my time between cruising around on my yacht, racing my Ferrari and drinking Pina Coladas by the pool.

While not as technical as others, I was very impressed with Hill and how she set goals, made a plan and took action with an end destination in mind.

These areas are mostly prime locations or tourist destinations.

It's a true vacation rental market and has been for decades (as are the other towns in the panhandle such as Destin, also a good spot to invest in STR's but more expensive), so the cities figured out how to tax/monetize the short term rentals decades ago. 

Fort Walton Beach/Destin area is nice and warm!

Aside from the real estate, I quite enjoy cruising around on my towns boardwalk and family gatherings.
