If you are interested in rentals, than Apartment Association of SE WI is another good one.  

It does not have it's own economy per se.

They legally need to report that income and pay income and SE tax on it depending on entity type.

Feb 2023, I'll be taking a trip to some SW/SE markets to meet with brokers, property managers, investors, police departments (I like to look at police call logs to properties), and legal teams (Landlord reps) to begin the process. 

I am looking for multifamily in SE PA, WV and VA.  100% agree on being relatively close to be able to manage the Property Manager. 

Does anyone know of any good property managers who will work with small investors?  I have a 3/1.5 SFR in North Oakland County, Michigan that I am renting out.

(Side note: depreciation isn't really a savings per se, but more of a interest free loan from Uncle Sam to be repaid when you sell the property through capital gains tax, but I'll gladly use the government's money until I'm ready to sell.)Appreciation: The White Elephant in the room.
