Rincon is a beautiful vacation spot, but my concern there is that most of those vacationers would be surfer types (I've had plenty of buddies like that) coming to the island looking to stay cheap ...ie hostels and the like.

It's quiet and frequented more by regular, repeat vacationers looking for a home away from home rather than tourists you would normally see in areas such as Daytona or Orlando. 

You have vacationers looking for peace and quiet, and others looking for the nearest t-shirt shop.
