There is one outfit in town I would run from (PM me if you want to know).

But watch out for the “franchise” outfits also referenced above.

If at all salvageable, we've had luck with replacing just the mailbox doors, opposed to the entire outfit -- similar to kitchen cabinets. 

@Anna Rynders we spend $4k to $5k to nicely outfit selected units in our apartment buildings, then rent them as corporate monthly rentals for 50% to 60% more than they would rent unfurnished.

Outfitted each unit with new carpet, paint, cabinets, vinyl plank flooring as they turned over.

For what it's worth though, while the IRRRL Loan itself is legit, I always prefer to find a local loan officer I trust rather than going with one of those outfits that sends all the VA IRRRL junk mail and calls all the time.

You can't get an inspection passed with the metal screens still up so I hire a man to live there until I can exit or get it rented.Yup takes a very tight outfit to work in those areas.. 

The best value was adding the garage/apartment for Short term rental, lots of landscaping, and during build we outfitted with a lot of good finishes.

I haven’t heard of this specific event; doesn’t mean it’s a scam or useless, but likely means they’re a new outfit and they sent the same email to in-numerous individuals playing on ego to try and get event registrants.
