We were told that local legislation prohibits draining into septic system or into street gutter and the only legal draining was into own's household sink drainage system.

That may not be doable at that price point, but keep it in mind.Hillsborough and Tampa say they have a 7 day minimum; I've never heard of anyone enforcing it.

The gov signed into law some legislation that is unfortunately good for insurance companies/bad for anyone making a claim but that brought companies back in the market at the increased competition drove the rates down.

My take is that predatory practices and threats must be controlled, and housing quality must be enforced.
