It is easy to get distracted and run in different directions.

It helps me from getting too "distracted".What about you guys?

Dont get distracted by shiny objects.

@Kalen Jordan BP is about REI so I'm suggesting stick to learning it for future profits and retirement - - beats any 401k/IRA.Software is such a kick, it easily becomes a distraction :grin:

When you have that attitude and perspective, there is no such thing as shiny objects and distraction because you have one singular objective for that hour, day, month, week, quarter or whatever it is.When you hustle without a goal or you don’t know your exact next steps, you’ll get nowhere fast.

I found taking them an unnecessary distraction from my business consuming time I could otherwise use running, building, and managing my investment business.In any transaction, you have to disclose that you are a licensed agent and remain compliant with all the reams of  disclosure paperwork some government bureaucrat created to justify his or her make-work job to create the illusion he or she was protecting the public. 

You CAN spend your entire day just getting organized.After watching the video in the link above I must remind myself to carve out those 15 minutes to become clear and wash away the distraction to focus on the bigger game.  

Our little sidebar here is totally appropriate for the whole Sub-to conversation BUT is a bit of a distraction from the original poster's intent.

They clobber you with transaction costs when you sell for example (no $6.99 broker fees,)...Plus, you may have huge opportunity costs if a problem property, a complaining tenant or wayward property manager distracts you from you day job.So maybe try one... if it works, rinse and repeat.
