I definitely plan on building a team in the market we select. 

Been doing my homework and looking around to team up with some excellent individuals and create a working system.  

Our team works throughout the Lehigh Valley, and in our investor neighborhoods the average home is 100+ years old.

Instead, build a solid bench of 3rd party vendors; HVAC, plumber, handyman, etc..When considering whether or not to make a hire, most of it depends on how many hours you can dedicate to that individual each week, at least when hiring a maintenance tech.

Go to BUILD YOUR TEAM at the top of the screen and look for local investors or meetups in your area.

Do you have a sports team you follow with season tickets? 

I suggest focusing on building your "Core 4" team—agent, lender (one who can finance both the purchase/rehab and refinance is ideal), contractor, and property manager.

Building a strong financial plan, researching markets, assembling a reliable team, and having an exit strategy are essential steps to success.Good luck!
