Actually, now that I think about this more and reexamine the numbers, They did include an allotment budget. which would put the loss at just under 9k.Where's the equity?

As others have mentioned your biggest concern should be if you budgeted enough money to finish it and if you have the market sell it in your allotted time window.

What i mean by that is 200$ AFTER all your other allotments, PITI, HOA (maybe), Management, capex, maintenance, vacancy.... if theres still 200$ after all those, that's when ill feel safe to jump.
