I'm in Germany at the moment with my husband on an expat assignment for his job so we're renting out our primary residence back in Louisiana.

Self storage the small  ones are easy to manage but once you get to 300 to 500 units  you are better off getting into a bigger one as it cost the same to manage 400 than it cost to manage 800cause it will take more capitol, i now have three in Germany safebox-selfstorage and the smallest has 703 units and the largest is 1240 and the cost to operate is the same the tax maybe a little higher but operating cost about the same 

Its sapposedly a source for direct mail and international data (Germany, India, UK & USA).

Most attendees live in the UK or Germany, but we periodically have some in Italy, Spain, Ireland, etc.

Just for some background for all of you here, regarding the reliability of these tenants, as well as my goals for selling the property...They have lived there for 5 years already; they are from Germany, where they themselves own several properties that they rent out, so they understand the value of a property, and maintaining it. 

I currently live in Germany but will be returning to the Charleston SC area soon.I am just finishing up with my South Carolina Real Estate Licensee Course and am relatively new to the community.
