if I run a title search, am I to assume I will be paying off other debtors, or that since they also have the option to bid on the property, they lose their right to collect if they do not. thats what I always assumed.Are the IRS and town taxes the only ones I need to worry about?

So what you are asking to do is just a much bigger number with a higher fee.If you wanted to profit more and be a little less helpful to the person, you could find a junior lien, like an old CC debt or something and try to purchase it, then go after that overage using that minor lean.
