I like the idea of a C-Film wrap (C-Film | Super Six™ Basement Wrap Material https://polytarp.com/c-film/) that I saw in a video a few years ago, but that doesn't appear to be available in the states.

We plan on putting up a nice textured vinyl film, to keep light coming in and privacy from the view at the street, but also so guests don't have to look out and see grass (or snow) right in their face.The steps are not as severe as they look in the photo, but there are 14.
