It was $120, years ago but with the recent downturn in the economy its a money maker for the court system so they raised the rates to $175 about 2yrs ago.

I think it's a horrendous practice but there is legal precedent with documentary film makers who make millions selling depictions of illegal acts (rape, murder, genocide, rioting, assault, etc....).

That does not mean you must do business with them.Think in terms of corporate defimation....The bankers already thought of this one and got to law makers for protection.

For that reason, expect to pay higher management fees if you ever turn this over.That being said, if you're willing to do the work and have the right personality, student housing can be a great money maker.

It's too early to say if my sister's unit will be a money-maker.

I definitely say these are great money makers but they more then likely will not appreciate much.  

I am not sure if anyone like that is still around but it would be a kick *** money maker now.

They tend to make RE investing sound so easy and that anyone can do it.
