Investing in beach front condos

We just got back from a short vacation to the beach and I was looking at some of the beach front condos. Does anyone here have any experience with them? I'd be interested in learning a little more about how everything works with them. Specifically the weekly rental business, vacancies, the prop management companies and all the stuff that goes along with owning one.

If you have experience with them please share.
