If there's an attitude problem about doing what I tell them and I have to show up repeatedly for silly reasons, I don't renew their lease and I find better long-term tenants.

The government looks at that as theft.I am sure at times you are seething inside but thank you for your attitude on this blog and your willingness share so we all can learn.

Marcus already stole my quote..... provide your kids enough $$ to do something but not enough to do nothing....Shaq also has the right attitude with his kids.... he has multiple statements about his wealth and his kids... basically he says " WE arent rich.....

If people followed this attitude to its extreme they would go bankrupt very quickly.

Some custodians do have internal polices that where they choose not to process certain transactions that can lead to greater complexity in account management such as foreign real estate or UBIT creating trade or business activities, but that is a business model decision, not a legal restriction they are confined by.This lack of oversight is a factor of the regulatory environment, not their service attitude, by the way. 

I think it is easily overcome by a good attitude and hard work.when I started in 74 in the game  tatoos were only on sailors.. the talk was should you have any facial hair. and studies said facial hair would be a turn off to some folks. 

When you're comparing the entire universe of investing to come up with a couple of phrases to encapsulate the idea that "if you're not doing as well as you could be, then you're losing out", it's a terrible, defeatist attitude.

Gone are the days when you could disapprove of someone because they showed up to the showing with a nasty, junk filled car, late and with an attitude.
