Is this true or is there another way I can still be scammed regardless of my name being on the deed?

Another scam on CL is people who rent places they don't own and collect three or four deposits and then split.

Ability to buy: Get in contact with a professional Transactional lender, make sure they're the real deal and not some scam company.

@Daniel Jarvis - I use Zillow since Craigslist will have repeats and scams.

It was a simple option contract, not scamming anyone.

401k's are a scam.  

So once my family members moved out we put it up for sale at Market value to test the market while we were making some small rent repairs in case we weren't able to sell if for the price we wanted.During that time our Realtor showed the house to a good number of interested buyers, but every time she brought a buyer to the property, the neighbors next door would come over and wait for them to exit the house to start telling the buyers the house had all these issues and that we were trying to scam someone into buying it.

I have been getting this a lot with Craigslist here lately, from what i figure they are trying to cut down on spamming and the amount of scams going on .
