From there you can send them letters in the mail, or postcards; or even look up their phone number for a call, or send a Facebook message (if you think that will work for you).

Is there value to starting with anything other than postcards - like yellow letters - or would a newbie like myself be better off going for quantity at this point?

The common approach I've seen for a list of addresses of buyers is to send a postcard with an intro and brief explanation of what I'm trying to do for them.
