The clearer you track these now, the easier it will be in the future for more significant strategic initiatives (i.e., Cost Segeratio Studies).Depending on how much cash flow you have, I would limit the add on apps (i.e., Hubdoc, receipt bank, bill.com, etc.) until the cost/benefit is there.Message/tag me if you have any questions!

Also when we resold as condos years later we were taxed on long-term capital gains as they were condos already (if you convert multi to condos its short-term cap gains).Given the cost of ownership (including my own time) I won't buy unless it's a steep discount or I have a strategic reason (buying my own office space).

Been there, done that.What I suggest instead is either persuading your CPA to do it for you if he is capable and available - or upgrade to another accountant who can be more of a strategic advisor to you.And one more thing, based on my 20+ years as a real estate accountant and a few of those years as a financial planner.
