I've heard horror stories so to me that's an absolute last resort.

The area is popular for hiking for the summer and near a ski resort in the winter. 

Evidently I was correct; people resort to outright thievery when there investments go south.

I don’t think we’ve ever asked for a survey, that doesn’t exist in a condominium resort.

If the buyer is an investor then you can tell him they want him to stay etc...If the issue is something else then you and your realtor can deal with that.Not the last resort, but one of them is looking to your lease about posting notice for entry. 

Bottom line, STR's (Thank you everyone for NOT calling them "AirBNB/s") have outpaced hotels/motels/resorts, because it's a more practical fit for the tenant/vacationer demand.

I know nothing about Maine other than making a few loans there, but we have done a lot in NC and, most recently, the resort areas of NE GA (Blue Ridge Mountain area).

These types of deals will be pretty rare; owners will really only use this a last resort if they can't sell their park (because it's extremely distressed, etc.). 

While most people may think of an auction as a last resort to sell real estate, this mode of selling is becoming vastly popular all over the world.

This is used as a stop-loss measure of last resort should the lender exercise their right under the clause.
