I started by investing in San Diego and then at some point went out of state to add on to portfolio for a few years and finally ended up selling off my out of state investments to purchase more here in San Diego, including the latest purchase, a multifamily property I purchased last month.I am partial to San Diego since I grew up here, invest here and am a Realtor here...It would be good for you to connect with local investors in any market that you want to get started in to shorten the learning curve a bit and to see what they are doing and how they are making it work....cash flow is great but that should be only 1 of many factors to consider when deciding to buy a piece of real estate and/or market.
