Either way I didn't invest in this condo to be a landlord and for someone paying $3,200/month in rent getting a $10K check from me to leave and go to another building was a good deal, she was stubborn and didn't care that i was buying it for my son after he talked with her at their building and now Im looking for a reason to get her out.

If you stubbornly want to keep trying the DIY path, then your only solution is to find someone local you can trust, but also is okay with you verifying their activity, to maintain that trust.

Wish I could get her down on price, but she's a stubborn old retired realtor who will take this place to her grave otherwise..   

If you're running around like most investors or simply have an urgent issue - you're SOL.Their stubborn refusal to consider traditional phone support even as a paid option is puzzling to me.

Its the bonehead stubborn investor who holds to principal and small dollar principals that end up spending  time and money on deals that would just go away with a few bucks...

I get that the seller/owner/landlord seems stubborn and greedy and it doesn't sound like you can talk much sense into him, but if he is so adamant on selling the property wouldn't he want the tenant out ASAP?

Luckily I am stubborn.

We're all stubborn in wanting to feel like we came out on top, and it's something I personally need to learn to let go of.
