I agree with what others above said, that having a reliable, honest and knowledgeable team is the most important thing...more so than perhaps the location.

Detroit is very much a block-by-block city, so having local knowledge is absolutely critical.

Find as many investor meetups as you can as the knowledge others have are invaluable when you're first starting out. 

Hence many sole proprietors are in favor.I have no knowledge though of the benefits to high level rich people though.I'm pretty ignorant to what people know from watching TV.
