I think my ideal investment is a fix up duplex.

I've been a long-time renter in the Portland, Oregon market and would love to purchase my first house hack next year: a duplex or triplex, ideally. 

You can always tap into HELOC for a safety net in the short term (not ideal) but there if you need it!

Ideally tho it good to have at least 6 months of reserves in terms of overall mortgage payments.

However, this nightmare of false accusations makes me hesitant.My thoughts are: 1) Ideally, Facebook has genuine investigation resources to rectify the damage caused, and 2) I hope the Facebook group will accept your husband’s explanation.

They’re all accessible but would take a bit of effort to get to if there are tenants occupying both units.It seems like this may have not been the most ideal purchase then, with the biggest problem being that it’s a single family being rented as two units.

. - ideally every operator is sound at all aspects of being an operator, but there are operators who are outstanding at the operational side that are a bit lacking on the communication side.  

I am from Dallas so I am familiar what areas would be considered "ideal".

In my ideal scenario, I would do some more entry level projects to start off while I learn the ins and outs, but my goal would be to eventually work on more luxury flips - larger scaled projects in more desirable neighborhoods (though fewer and farther between).  

Like others have posted, you sound like an IDEAL borrower, including with your local banks...just as long as you (or your Fractional CFO) are talking to the "right" banks that understand investment properties.
