It looks like I need to dive deeper into this in order to identify the best automation ecosystem for my needs!

If anything, you could argue that rents will be even healthier in a recession because home ownership may be less attainable.

While my job is what brought me into this AMAZING community, I am so excited to join the ecosystem and learn all there is to know about real estate investing! 

So far I would have to say Quickbooks Online (QBO) as it has a good ecosystem to capture all sorts of expenses.

Is there an established STR eco system to allow a remote foreign investor to successfully own and rent out a  property, i.e. multiple competitive Property Management companies, abundant labor supply and services, friendly government policies and tax schemes?

Learned on this one the importance of utility bills for landlord vs tenant responsibility, although we have a decent cash flow with 20% Cap-Ex and Maintenance savings we will need to raise rents to a healthier cash flow once the leases expire.
