They can be really sensitive to heat, depending on grade I guess, especially the darker colors (ie: trendy gray), and can leave a permanent light discolored mark after you put a hot plate of food on it...like even out of the microwave.

I seen it there and honestly wouldn't use it in my dog's house. 3/8" is really the minimum thickness and even that should have an AO finish on the product. 1/2" can be bought at a reasonable price if you take the time to shop around and aren't too picky on shade.

White shaker cabinets, grey quartz counters, grey floor tile in baths, white subway tile with grey grout in shower/tub, grey house ext, even the int walls are a shade of grey from Sherwin Williams called revere pewter.

I am doing LVP in the kitchens and hallways (natural wood look in darker tone), white kitchen cabinets with stainless appliances, and have painted Agreeable Gray SW throughout.

And it’s really NOT necessary except in special cases, like over new drywall or stains, going from a glossier sheen to a duller sheen, or before going from a darker color to a drastically lighter one.
