I had thought I'd use a personal umbrella to cover the properties and my personal auto and house rental (don't own my home) but I'm thinking that is overkill as the properties will be well covered by the liability.

Small things like  "Suite 320" and "# 320" may mean the same thing to you and I but not to search engines, these are the types of things that Yext will point out and allow you the opportunity to fix.I believe the Yext platform is overkill for what you're doing and you could easily pick the top 5 sites to place your business on and fill things out manually.

As long as the funds are sitting in an escrow account, the money is still yours as the expense hasn't yet occurred.You can certainly record the expenses each month but it can be overkill for a cash based accounting business and it won't accurately reflect your books.

The main cost is servicing which will be $15-30 /month depending on whether they're collecting money in escrow for taxes.You're going to have a small setup fee with the servicer, a small fee from your document custodian for review and recording your assignment of mortgage (lower if you do it yourself).To be honest a spreadsheet to analyze performing notes is overkill.

I think the rest is overkill because they wouldn't be a member of HAR if they were not in good standing with TREC.But if you want to dig into that, you can go to the TREC website and look up any licensee in Texas.

If you have no assets to speak of really, then the LLC could be overkill from an asset protection stand point.
