All for a sign as long as the property looks occupied...leave shoes near the front door, have exterior lighting, and at least a RING camera. 

As for having more guests than stated, we use Ring doorbell cameras and have someone monitoring when the guest checks in. 

You simply stack and bolt together the rings to the height you want.

I might try the “emergency service” which is $20 with limited data and just use that for the smart locks and ring cameras.

That being said if you are willing to start with a smaller property or have more cash reserves than we did as we were preparing for our wedding you can make the deals happen you just have to be creative with it.
