In 2008 the rules are changing and you will need a college degree to be licensed and you will have to be Certified (more schooling and another test) in order to be supervisor to any trainees.It is very difficult to get work as a trainee, as it takes time and work to train someone.

If you get to participate to some extent in deals (as a real trainee rather than a glorified clerk) than the brokerage experience can be very attractive.It really comes down to "what do you want to be when you grow up".
