Skip the pricey coaches for now, there are plenty of free resources like here on BiggerPockets and YouTube.

I'm doing this exact thing right now- I've been pleasantly surprised by how many people in my network have resources, cash and interest in something like this. 

Learning how to responsibly use debt is one of the best tools any real estate investor has at their disposal.
