You are being very generous here, a discount doesn't solve their problem, if you were going to do anything you'd buy noise cancelling headphones, but in reality construction on stairways, roads, landscaping, pools etc. just happens and there isn't anything anyone can do to stop it.

I got a cable for my phone that plugs into the AUX port in my car stereo and to the headphone jack on my phone. 

I have alot of at work (since I sit at a computer all day) to plug in the headphones and listen to anything online.

I get the idea of "tuning in", but it hurts my ears because I'm usually listening to the casts with headphones and the sharp static bites right into my eardrums.I want to absorb every bit of information during the podcasts and recently I've just started each session annoyed and agitated by that intro.If the static can't be taken out for something better, can we at least have the intro play at a softer volume in relation to the rest of the podcast?
