You have to dig a little deeper there are questions that need to be addressed and VOE's filled out with specifics in order to use certain incomes and "stipends".Similar to a traveling nurse who get housing, meals, and other income. 

They legally have to have this document filled out if they pay you more than a certain amount over the period of 12 months.

If I would have used competent management, the manager that I picked and vetted, then it would have cash flowed, assuming they could have filled the vacancies.The big lesson I learned is that the property manager selected can make or break a deal. 

New landlord question- if I have an individual who wants to rent my place for their parent - who do I have fill out the application?  

On a pre-1900 build I often see them filled with mortar, at least here in Milwaukee.

I personally send a spreadsheet to my clients and have them fill it out. 

I have searched and filled out endless online forms only to have lenders offer me unsecured loans or other products, but not a heloc.  

I filled out their survey and provided some constructive feedback, even though I don't own a STR here.

Even if they couldnt offer the service to complete the form i would expect them to make me aware i needed to fill it out in the first 90 days as i am finding out now.
