Since I will only be there for 2.5-3 years, I don't think it makes sense to buy a place that would be considered a "forever home" that wouldn't rent for what the mortgage payment would be (I intend on using VA benefits).I'm looking for a neighborhood that is safe (for my spouse and mother while I am gone), has an acceptable commute to NAS North Island, and would fit the requirements of a flip OR long-term BRRRR-style rental.

Because of the multiple bases in our area I have seen and been a part of successful house hacks from the back gate of NAS Pensacola to the Pace/Milton area.  

Are you moving to JBLM or NAS Whidbey?

Hey,I wouldn't trust N as a property manager unless he had a lot of experience in this space.B should receive more than 90% equity in the LLC because he has the loan in his name.

It won't come with the same structure that the app offers, but then that's what you're paying for.Personal NAS's have been around for a bit, and yes they are getting easier to access remotely.

I am primarily looking at multi-family units, as I think this is where I will get the most bang for my buck.I am currently looking at a fourplex that was recently renovated near the NAS, I will post details once I gather them all!
