I screen individual dogs (of any breed) with an in-person evaluation before accepting their owners as my tenants.

Get them out and start with leases and only rent to people that you have screened. 

But around here some of the screening services that claim to do background checks do a lousy job of it.

We don't cover that area, but know that due to lower population density, finding a great PMC is difficult. 

So, the first question they usually ask a PMC is about fees - instead of asking about services and HOW those services are executed.EXAMPLE: PMC states they will handle tenant screening – what does that specifically mean?

Has anyone found a property manager in south Florida (that covers Fort Lauderdale) that they really like? 

It's difficult to see how a tenant will be after screened and signing a lease.
