Although I was able to rectify the sewer issue the tenant would not allow the restoration company to come in and remove contaminated material, sanitize, and dry the place out.  

@Austin Ralls  --I would imagine that with sheriff sales, you'll encounter a lot of properties with meth contamination.

Schooling in my town is amazing, so there is no issue with that.Transportation to NYC is literally 2 minutes on every corner to the bus, so that isn't an issue.Additionally, I was told that I should stay away from homes with oil tanks for heating because if the oil tank was to leak, the soil would be contaminated and it would cause a big headache and a big whole in my wallet.

He is still fighting the taxing authority in court over this.A large community was sold to a less experienced buyer who in cutting corners failed to determine that the water supply was contaminated by Radon.

We are looking for recommendations on a trustworthy exterminator and a contractor that can help with sealing the attic after extermination.Also, any tips on cleaning up the mess and replacing the contaminated insulation?

There are many tests that need to be conducted to ensure the land is not contaminated (the tanks always leak).
