My wife and I are in Stillwater and have house hacked for a number of years as well as flipped and own mixed use buildings in Western Wi.

I mean you take most mid western or deep south cities and over 50% of the SFRs are rentals. were as on the coasts maybe 10% of sfrs are rentals there is a reason.

we are experiencing something similar with a property in western nc. its a large investment home, in a good area. we offered it at 100 per sqft . we have not had the attention it should have . i assumed it was due to storms , elections, interest rates. i could be wrong we may pull it from the market and finish it.

I'm also considering Halethorpe because it's a good commuter location.Some people really like supporting the city in which case , northeast Baltimore would seem to the best place to buy a single family, in my opinion given the taxes situation and given that none of those areas are walkable I’d rather just be in the county and pay Lower taxes, and it’s not like northeast Baltimore is much that much cheaper than Baltimore county, hathorpe is mixed, arbutus is nice, I hate the housing stock there, would rather be in Catonsville if I was considering western Baltimore county.

I've flown down and walked the units at Western Way and there is a lot to be desired.

The fundamental thing is also that in Asia and Middle East, the jobs & buying power of people have skyrocketed exponentially in the past 10yrs, much better than western countries today.
