McDonalds and Caterpillar are joining the ranks of other businesses moving back into Chicago from the burbs and various parts of Illinois.  

Case in point is our access to the mountains, number one rated bike trail in the country (breaking news - Google the Huckleberry Loop) and great balance between snowbirds (retirees who come just for the winter) and growing industries like Raytheon, Caterpillar, Roche, University of Arizona and Davis Monthan Airforce. 

Caterpillar and other industries in the area had hit a slow period over the last 18 months, however, now many businesses in the Peoria area cant hire employees fast enough to support demand.

Caterpillar, a Fortune 500 company will bring another 600 high paying jobs.

Caterpillar reducing expectations for the rest of the year, nothing?

FYI the largest employer in the Peoria caterpillar just left for Chicago..

The job market there was stable with large employers like Harley Davidson, Caterpillar, Aurora Healthcare, Fiserv and Johnson Controls.Another deciding factor for me was being able to fly non-stop from Phoenix.

Caterpillar plans on a recession every 7-8 years. 

I’m personally selling Puts on Caterpillar and Live Nation next week if the market drops after this spike on Friday.

And I cannot believe that companies like Caterpillar haven't seen an impending slowdown in sales in China, nor Boeing, etc, and don't have a plan in place.
