I actually moved here a few years ago from Naperville and can say that your dollar will stretch much further down here.

It feels like this is the long stretch that is not touched on by books or blogs or other materials...

Belize only has a small stretch of Caribbean coast and that's pretty much all the country has to offer.

Yeap...I am not saying that things are going gangbusters by any stretch.

But that's not why I'm worried.I'm worried because of how stretched you sound to be financially.  

We often get caught up in seeking profits that really stretch fairness.I've been responsible in setting such standards and seeing to enforcement of rules for a Large PHA, over 1200 units including multi-story apartment complexes.

Again, it is not the norm by any stretch but I was able to find the right seller who wants to get out of the properties after 20 years. 

Or even stretch as far as Raleigh?

Coming from that position to buy a 2M apartment bldg with nothing down is...... quite a stretch.

Also, the old adage goes "You marry the property, but date the rate" meaning that you can refinance again later to lower your rate and to stretch out payments.
