Since every lender has their own way of underwriting a file (global cash flow, creditworthiness, etc.) you generally want to disclose the proper amount and only more if it is requested.

From these posts, I am starting to feel a bit exposed and will try to develop a global fund with 20K to cover unanticipated unanticipated events.

Estimates of the unbanked portion of the Canadian population ranges from 3% to 9% depending upon the source of the study {Note: there is apparently a report by VISA International which claims 15% of all Canadians 15-yrs of age or older are unbanked.  

I'm not going to bother researching Canadian electricity rates for you, I really don't care.

I just looked at Canadian Western SDRRSP mortgage rules and they won't sign for more than 90% LTV either, but that looks like appraised value, not purchase price, so it may work with a seller motivated to sell at 90% appraised. 

I am located in Canada, therefore if anyone can  provide advise me on getting a Canadian credit card.
