We are at less than half of the level a year ago, a dramatic decrease.So, the statics clearly show that there is an extreme shortage of rental properties for our target tenant pool which means now is a great time to buy rental properties.Walter, if you select a property that targets the right tenant pool, the odds of quickly renting the property are better today than they have been in many years.

Right now there are labor shortages in everything in the US. 56 is pretty old to start an entry-level job but it's what you got, so you go from there.

Despite the large numbers of Realtors in Arizona, there's no shortage of deals for professionals like yourself.  

However in several areas where there was a shortage of housing you can call up and get a hotel room with much less notice.

The funny thing is, because of the housing shortage, the rental market is very strong and we have extremely low vacancy as well.  

Perhaps if they channeled those efforts into something productive, took massive action, and stopped feeling sorry for themselves, they'd enjoy success.We certainly won't have a shortage of tenants any time soon though, so that's a good thing :)
