When it comes to the comparison of manufactured homes and site-built homes, they both use the same building materials in the construction phases and the cost is lower, the difference is that the manufactured home is built in a controlled factory environement where quality of construction is invariably superior to what can be done outdoors.

I believe building code states that you need to provide heat to keep temperatures 68 degrees 3 ft from the floor.

@Tuline MaDepending on the sound, it could be the house expanding and contracting as the house heats/cools with the daytime/nighttime temperatures.

Verify vent duct is unobstructed and sealed (and venting to the outdoors).Take humidity (and odor) control out of the hands of the tenant by installing a humidity and motion sensing switch (retrofit) or a humidity and motion sensing vent fan when time for replacement.
