It's easier to get into someone's home than most folks think, especially if the person wants something from you (i.e. to rent your house) and they have nothing to hide.

Even a hide-a-key could work. 

If you can hide them under the eaves / under protection, you're good. 

Disclosure would have been required of me, because the home is notorious in our town, and I would look like I'm hiding something if I didn't disclose.

not allowing the landlords to pull permits frustrates me to NO END. my reasoning is this...as a landlord i want to pull a permit so they come and inspect the property. it's not like i am trying to HIDE the fact that updates were done. why they only allow licensed people to pull a permit is the dumbest thing in the land lording business.

@Jarret Remington you're a real estate agent, so it's unusual that you'd want an attorney to assist with a deal.Unless, you want to hide that you're the buyer. 

I'm a numbers person (a Software Engineer) by nature, and I don't hide it.

Total cost to paint yourself maybe $100 if you get 5 gal $60 paint that will hide well enough and then rest of money on rollers, drop cloth, $5 for silicone caulk, $2 caulk gun.
