The place I am buying is 10 minutes walking from the Metra & CTA, so really hoping the announced investment in that station is going to spur more growth as well.

I believe for SCRA to apply you have to receive permanent change of station orders, or orders to deploy for not less than 90 days.

There was another method you can use Being that you are dealing with criminals you may wanna see about your local police station serving the paperwork ( oddly enough many do this for a nominal fee) because this will really upset these guys if they see somebody that’s in law-enforcement coming out to the house and serving the papers. it will make them very nervous and they may want to leave altogether or comply

Hey Patrick, I am also new to the BP community, but have lived in Jacksonville since being stationed at Lejuene in 2013.

Currently I’m stationed in Florida with the Navy, but I’m from Dayton and my family is still up there, which is what I’m leaning on to make this deal happen.

This training will be 6 months long until I move again which is why I figured I would ask the question here.Should I look at buying a house in Newport, RI to basically Live-in/rent while I am in training to then turn it into a rental property once I move on to my next duty station or should I just wait until I get to my duty station after schooling?
