The property is owned by a coworker who inherited it along with 6 other siblings.

My siblings are out there at UNC and my brother is always egging me on about being his landlord.

I looked at another thread concerning Affidavit of Heirship but don't quite understand how it will work when there is no children or wife to the deceased but his siblings and parents.

My siblings and I were going to buy it outright as a gift to our them but are second guessing the decision now that we heard about life-leasing.

I guess I have some thinking to do because the money I will be using is from the sale of  a brownstone me and my 2 other siblings inherited so I just don’t want to blow it .

One that was the primary residence of my grandparents as well the youngest sibling who has some special needs.

Turns out she had a sibling and a couple nieces several states away that wanted to retrieve her belongings.Once she's out, renovate and move on.

I am the executor but the proceeds will be divided between 3 siblings.

Another suggestion for families with adult siblings, parents and siblings is to see if they are all living together now. 

The problem with this option is that my brother would not qualify for a mortgage and would need a cosigner or I (or another sibling) would have to purchase the home in our name and then put the title in his name after the note is paid.
