I believe putting in new windows tells the buyer that you did more than aesthetic repairs (even though replacing the windows helps).

There are several low-class folks, like gang-members, ex-convicts, punks, etc. that like to strut around with a pit-bull as a status symbol.

I'm one of those rehabbers that likes to do everything -- I do want anything to stick out as old, used, or aesthetically displeasing.
