@Mike Conklin Been renting units for clients and for my own investments here in CT for a while and I have never had someone rent or not rent an apartment based on the type of cooking heating source.The quality of appliance may matter to a tenant, new vs beat up, stainless vs plain white, etc.I would say just go with whatever source you prefer and don't get caught up in what the prospective tenant will think.

I received an email on Monday from the property management company that I use in Spring TX.  States that tenants evacuated as water was coming in the front door.  They have as of yet been unable to get to the property...

I would try texting the listing agent - she's had this property listed on and off since 2008 and has been dealing with the short sale (what a pain for an agent) - she's probably sick of it, not making any money on it and has probably been fielding a million calls from completely unqualified first time buyers who want that area but don't really pay attention to the details and don't have any cash - I would be clear in your communication with her that you understand the requirements and have the cash to close - I've had transactions with her in the past she's been around for a long time.

Some even had to move to get the whole matter under control when their PM gets sick, bails, retires etc...Others have done awesome we can understand too and I get your point still.
