I recommend you take up an internship somewhere to get a strong handle on your niche area and see if you really like it.

I've been reading everything I can get my hands on, I've also thought about getting a real estate license, try to get some internship in a real estate office, join and network through the local real estate associations, and just work on some deals myself.

Post a paid internship position on the job board of the business department at a local college and you will be amazed at the caliber of the people you can find looking for work.

How should I sell the idea of an internship?

I am looking to get a new internship for a larger commercial real estate company than my current one working in Investment Banking, as a financial analyst, or possibly doing capital market research.

Gives me a whole new approach to my next few years in life and especially with getting a job and internship in the law and real estate fields.
