While a little sightseeing and meandering is ok and can even be beneficial, ultimately, you have to select a destination before you can mapout your route to get there.I could be completely wrong, of course, but from your post it sounds likeyou are unsure of your goals?

hello everyone, i must say to all thanks for your honest opinions. after taking a serious look at my post for needing a mentor i guess i have to say i agree with all of you.theres just to much of me wanting something, but not willing to give in return (i honestly didn't know my post would come across like this, honestly)but anyway i guess the real reason why i needed a mentor was because i was just to scared to do it alone, but now i'm no longer scared so the whole need a mentor before i get started thing is no longer an issue. plus i've been building my team (like: lawyer, CPA, brokers, mortgage brokers and etc) and there all sort of like specialized mentors/advisor's anyway (and we all benefit from working with each other) plus i found out you have to find joy and happiness in the unknown, another words you have to enjoy the journey not just your final destination (your end dream), this will allow you to get out there and just learn as you go in anything you do.

I got the point on the flying analogy.......It makes sense....BUTAnytime someone says but it means they don't agree......in this case I agree but have something to add.............BUTIf you do not know how to fly you can still get in an airplane and go from point A to BYou just need an experienced PilotIf you do not know Find Someone who does........Find a way to enlist their knowledgePay them if it neccessaryBut get the knowledge. Most people could learn to fly in a single hour of instruction.Landing may take only 10 hours the min requirement to solo40 hours min to be certified.Cost 5 to 7 K $Of course your learning to fly shouldn't end there....Flying is easyTaking off a bit harderLanding the hardestInvesting First DealDifficult to get off the ground easy once you have a property to hold or rehab....like flyingLanding.....the most difficult ....getting out of the deal with a profit. In Investing As In FlyingYou should plan your trip before you leave the ground.Inspect the vehicle to be sure nothing is wrong with it.File your flight plan (business plan)Be sure you have enough fuel (funds) to reach your destination with some reserves.Be ready to abort your landing if it dosen't look right....

We're not looking so much to make a short-term profit from the renting of it, but more of a long-term objective (hoping the property values will eventually hit their values of 1-2 years ago in the next 5-8 years). So, we bought a small condo in Destin, FL.
