Factors to consider: military clauses for renters (they can get out of leases for a deployment or moving duty locations), demand for housing near bases is always there, steady paycheck, responsible and accountable for paying and upkeep of the property (you can contact their chain of command if they don't hold up their end of the bargain). 

That rent is currently high on Rentometer though my sfh can command that kind of rent.

Rehab still in progress but we expect to be able to command top rent given the location and the quality of the rental.

@Barbara Pinto, Mount Dora is very small, but does have a several block area near downtown that wouldn't be as attractive or command rents as the rest of the city. 

Putting stuff in from IKEA is not classy nor is it luxury that will command top dollar. 

I think it's possible to do better and command higher prices, imho.

Therefore, I could command similar rental rates for a 4 bedroom condo and a 4 bedroom SFH, however the purchase price of a SFH was about double that of a condo.
