Right on, dude :)Most of the Russians I knew in Brooklyn, NY (my cousins included), rented gov't subsidized housng for $400-500/mo but payed $900/mo. monthly for Range Rover payment.

A 3.5 mil house with 3mil 7.5% DSCR rate is paying about ~20k monthly mortgage.The dude (unless they're Russian billionaire that can't buy US asset) is better buying the house rather than renting for 20k.

They may be hedged on the price of oil for the next year.Saudi's are negotiating with the Russians in a very aggressive way, since Russia is dependent on oil, and Trump still has financial sanctions on Russian, while they are hurting the Iranians that are having major economic issues.

@Jonathan Damon    well OK if you say so.... but that's not my expeince my TK vendors sold thousands ( did not fund them all but a few hundred of them I did) of sales to Foreigners and they are mom and pops just like the US buyers.. the hedge funds are well known US companies blackstone and a few others.. were I see the Chinese is on the west coast buying 1 to 5 million dollar homes for cash and leaving them vacant... same up in Vancouver BC.... don't think that will affect or create a melt down... and can't say I have ever seen any Russian investors at all..

UD judges can be pretty nutty sometimes.Reminds me of a movie I saw about how President Kennedy handled the Bay of Pigs incident, he got two separate messages from the Russians and choose the one he liked best and denied receipt of the other...it worked.
